25th WA Screen Awards Postponed

10th January 2012

FTI’s 40th Anniversary is much more than an excuse to have a party. With a new CEO taking over in 2012, now is the perfect time for FTI to undertake a review of all our products and services to ensure we remain WA’s premiere industry association, dedicated to providing relevant and practical assistance and opportunities for independent WA Screen Artists.

This organisational review includes looking at how we deliver key FTI events such as the WA Screen Awards. In consultation with a variety of filmmakers and experts from all levels of our industry, we want to make sure the 25th WA Screen Awards is the biggest and best yet. With this input we are hoping to attract more media, more entries and a more diverse cross section of the WA filmmaking community, to ensure the event offers more value to all our winners, nominees and guests.

Ultimately this means that a date for the 25th WASA’s will not be announced, and entries will not be accepted, until the review is complete in early 2012. Once the date is confirmed you can rely on FTI, along with all our colleagues and friends in the industry, to be very active in announcing it.
